Hudspeth County is one of our favorite places. It's in far west Texas between El Paso County to the west and Culberson County to the east. This is a beautiful area. The air is clean, the water is clear, and there is basically no pollution and no crime here. The sunsets are as beautiful as you will ever see. The night sky is so clear you will be amazed by how many stars you can see.

The attitude is very much "live and let live". In the rural areas where most of our properties are located you are free to build or not build as you see fit. If you want to camp on your land, or park an RV, have a mobile home, prefabricated home, tiny home, etc., you are free to do so. There are no HOA fees or restrictions. The climate is mild and dry, with an average minimum temperature of 30 degrees in January and an average maximum of 94 degrees in July.

Less than 3,500 people live in Hudspeth County's 4,572 square miles. Whether you are looking to build off grid, or buy some vacation land, or just to invest in land while prices are still so low, this is a peaceful place with gorgeous mountain views. It is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle, and the crime and pollution, of urban life.

This huge property is approximately 20.27 acres. There is an existing north-south trail road along the section line/easement on the east side of Lot 4. The high capacity electric lines that carry power to Dell City run along the east side of this property. This might be a fantastic spot for a solar farm. There is also an old trail road to FM Road 1437 that runs along the section line/easement along the north side of Lot 4.

The legal description of this property is Vista Heights 2, Section 37, Lot 4. It's a secluded area less than 2 miles from FM Road 1437 and just over 10 miles from the downtown intersection in Dell City. Lot 4 is in the northeast corner of Section 37, and 5/8" rebar was placed at that corner as a marker.

There is no zoning, no subdivision restrictions, no home owners association, and no property owners association. You can build when and if it suits you to do so. You can also choose to just RV or camp on the property without limitation while you hold it for investment. For water you can explore the possibility of having your own well, or haul it in from Dell City less than 12 miles away. For power you will probably choose to go with solar.

Directions

From the intersection of Highway 62/180 and FM Road 1437, go north toward Dell City.

2.36 miles later you will be at 31.781350 -105.201137. This old road used to go directly to the property. It looks like there is an extra fence post there, which means there might be a swing gate. Someone might have put in an extra post, with the idea that you can slip the barbed wire from one direction off of that post, then use the post to swing the wire out of your way. If so, then pass through and replace the post with its wire so no cattle can wander through. Replace the fence every time you pass through to keep cattle from wandering onto the road.
