Situated in Colorado's limited entry GMU 2; most notable for producing world-class bull elk, buck mule deer, and healthy populations of turkey, the Logging Spring Ranch boasts incredible opportunities for hunting, endless recreations, and the perfect location to create that hidden paradise you've always dreamt of!
Land
Consisting of 946 +/- acres that lies amongst Douglas Mountain in northwest Colorado, the Logging Spring Ranch comprises very diverse topography and habitat! From the open-grassland and sage flats, the terrain escalates up pinyon-juniper ridges and slopes, then into high-mountain meadows that ultimately back into ponderosa and pinyon-juniper forest. The Logging Spring provides the ranch with a large pond that holds water year-round and is a go-to for wildlife! Additionally, there are a couple seasonal catch ponds that may retain water throughout the spring, but quickly dwindle down throughout the summer. Resulting from the varying terrain and natural environment with an efficient source of water, healthy populations of elk, deer, and turkey reside on the ranch and surrounding area year-round! Located in limit entry GMU 2, there is a possibility of the LLC transferring to the new Buyer in order to maintain the points built up for elk, deer, and antelope.
Recreation
For those outdoor enthusiasts that are always eager for places to traverse, Logging Springs Ranch presents immense opportunities to do so right outside its own boundaries as it is nearly completely surrounded by BLM, making navigation a breeze! From the ranch, hop on an ATV/UTV and explore the surrounding BLM that engulfs much of Douglas Mountain where you are bound to catch a glimpse of wildlife including but not limited to elk, deer, and turkey! Sandwash Basin, home to a sizable herd of wild horses, is also an OHV fan favorite and is located just over 30 minutes from the ranch. Furthermore, Browns Park features some of northwest Colorado’s most prominent history and is located just over an hour from the ranch. Along the way, don’t forget to visit the scenic destinations of Gates of Lodore, Irish Canyon, and Vermillion Falls, all within an hour from the property! On those hot summer days, enjoy a relaxing float down the Green River or Yampa River which ultimately winds through the Dinosaur National Monument, and feel encouraged to cast a line as these rivers are well known fisheries! As a bird flies, the Dinosaur National Monument is approximately 3 miles south of the ranch, though distance and ETA to any of the designated entrances may vary.
Location
Though small, Maybell has a convenient store with a gas station and is approximately 45 minutes east of the ranch. However, Craig is not much further; roughly 1 hour and 15 minutes east of the ranch and provides many gas stations, grocery stores, hardware stores, restaurants, a hospital, and much more! Rangely and Meeker are also located around 1 hour and 30 minutes south of the ranch. Vernal, UT is just shy of 2 hours southwest of the ranch and offers many of the same services as Craig, but has a bigger variety of resources to choose from to help fulfill your wants and needs. Yampa Valley Regional Airport (Hayden, CO) and Vernal Regional Airport (Vernal, UT) are the closest airports providing commercial flight services, both of which are just under 2 hours from the ranch.
