This hunting and recreational property is at the end of Mt. Sinai Cemetery Road just seven miles west of Lucedale, MS. In this neck of the woods, everything moves at a slower, quieter pace making GE79 an excellent spot for a hunting camp or weekend retreat. Despite its seemingly remote location, utilities are available through Singing River Power Association and Bexley Utilities (water).

HUNTING AND RECREATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES. Mature pines and hardwoods throughout the site provide excellent habitat for area wildlife. Whitetail deer and turkey are abundant in this area, as are most typical South Mississippi small game animals. There are several places where gas lines traverse the property offering ready-made places to plant food plots and set up shooting houses. Some internal roads are already in place for access or four-wheeler riding.

PASCAGOULA RIVER BASIN & DE SOTO NATIONAL FOREST. For those folks who enjoy being on the water, the Pascagoula River boat ramp at Merrill is four miles west of GE79. The Pascagoula River basin is one of the last unspoiled waterways in the United States. The boat ramp is one-quarter mile south of where the Leaf and Chickasawhay Rivers converge to form the Pascagoula which flows 80 miles and empties into the Gulf of Mexico. Common fishes to catch along the Pascagoula include bass, crappie, bream, and catfish. Other popular activities along the river include boating, kayaking, and camping. For more recreational opportunities, the DeSoto National Forest with more than one-half million acres of public lands is just five miles away. These lands are popular for hunting, camping, trail riding, fishing, and canoeing.
