The Menneoso Ranch is located in the cattle country of Northeast New Mexico in Union County, between the communities of Amistad and Rosebud. The ranch consists of approximately 6,900 deeded acres, 160 acres of State land and 320 acres of private lease. Access is off of SR. 420 and County roads on 2 sides. The terrain is rolling plains with several draws originating on the ranch. The predominant forage is Blue Gramma, secondary grasses include Side Oats Gramma,Tabosa, little Blue Stem and a cool season Western Wheatgrass. One can also find some Bluestem in the draws. The company has leased in excess of 345,000 acres. The project will originate in Union County and terminate via a transmission line in the 4 corners to replace the SAN JUAN COAL GENERATING PLANT. It is anticipated that several turbines will be placed on the ranch, ranging from 4.5MW to 6MW. Each turbine will generate sizable income when operational.
