New owners may negotiate participation in the Summit Point Cooperative Wildlife Management Unit (CWMU). (Several privately owned surrounding properties are participating in this program, while others prefer to maintain their hunting options)
The hunting unit has a limited number of Private Landowner Cow Elk Tags available on a first-come, first-served basis. The season starts in August and runs through January. Landowner depredation tags may be available after specific criteria are met. All other Deer & Elk tags are available through the state draw. Meeting the approved criteria may also lead to Landowner Deer tags.
FISHING
Fishing at Monticello, Spring, and Lloyd's Lakes in the Abajo Mountains near Monticello, Utah. Also, try the Recapture & Blanding Reservoirs for Brown and Rainbow Trout
