Jericho Forest is a perfect multiple use property with easy access and is in close proximity to the historic village of Lewisburg. The long range views are east facing allowing for spectacular sunrises and sweeping views of the Greenbrier Valley. A seasonal stream provides a nice water feature and an excellent site for a pond. There are also many nice hiking trails winding throughout the developing hardwood forest.

Wildlife is abundant and there is no shortage of white tailed deer, wild turkey, squirrels and song birds. The animals enjoy the peace and quite of Jericho Forest, while the diversity of the terrain and the mature forest provides an excellent habitat. There are hundreds of wildlife den trees scattered throughout the forest. These trees usually have large holes or cavities that animals and birds use on a daily basis to raise their young or snooze through the winter in.

There are some excellent rock outcrops that provide some very interesting wildlife and plant habitat. Some of the lichens growing on the sandstone rocks are over 200 years old. The green Sphagnum moss grows well in this environment and feels soft and cool to the touch.

To the Southern crest of the property, a stand of "Thunder Rocks" some 20' by 20' in size are truly magnificent and seem untouched by time except for the moss that grows on top of them and the hardwood trees that grow beside them.

The elevation of Jericho Forest is 2550' above sea level where the air is crisp and clear on those early autumn mornings when the clouds hang low in the valley. There are several level to rolling building envelopes available and with 1500' of frontage on the year round -county maintained road, access is direct and easy. The view from the crest of the slope to the East overlooks old growth Chestnut Oaks, Red Oaks, Birch, Beech, Hickory, Maple, and other hardwood trees.

Mineral and timber rights convey and there are no easements except for electric service across the property. It is just 18 air miles to the Virginia line and on a clear day you can see. The boundary has been partially surveyed. However, the southeast line will need to be surveyed before closing.
