VISTA GRANDE RANCH
DESCRIPTION
We are pleased to offer this beautiful 172 acre Hill country retreat. The Vista Grande Ranch is located in northern Medina County, in the gated Peach Tree Ranch subdivision. Approximately 15 miles north of Hondo, access is via Private Road 2414. The ranch is mostly wooded, with some selective clearing, and has elevations ranging from 1,380 to 1,540. With end of the road privacy, ridge top views, and ample wildlife, this ranch has much to offer.
IMPROVEMENTS
Improvements consist of a two-story, 1,280 sf, hilltop-cabin, with views for miles. Modest but very functional, the cabin has a bunk room, living area and a bathroom on the lower level with a second bath, kitchen and living area, upstairs. A second story balcony provides an overlook to most of the ranch and view clear to the town of Hondo. Located adjacent to the cabin, is a 20x35 metal storage building and well house. There are passable roads through a large portion of the property and it is completely perimeter fenced.
WATER
Water on the ranch is supplied by a domestic water well and a rainwater catchment system. Multiple water storage tanks and water troughs are located throughout.
VEGETATION
Vegetation on the Vista Grande consists of your standard Hill Country species, including live oaks, cedar, persimmon, mountain laurel, agarita, and more. With the spring rains, there were also abundant native grasses and wildflowers.
WILDLIFE
Wildlife on the ranch includes white-tailed deer, hogs, aoudad, other native animals, and multiple bird species.
