400th Road, Dundee, MS 38626 - Tunica County

This 149.6-acre tract, containing 149 +/- acres of converted farmland, was enrolled in the 30-year WRP in 1998, and has been utilized for duck and deer hunting since that time. It is located in a prime waterfowl habitat area, 3 miles west of the Coldwater River and Askew Bottoms WMA, and 1 mile south of Brushy Bayou.

A slough flows through the center of the property creating a combination of flooded timber and 5 open holes, with sled blinds in two of them. An almost unbroken block of woods, including additional WRP tracts, connects this property to Askew Bottoms, providing ample habitat for deer to roam. Oak trees, one of the predominant trees planted for the WRP, provide natural forage for deer along with three 2.5-acre food plots.

The farmland in the surrounding area is historically planted in rice and grains and is typically flooded in the winter, drawing large numbers of waterfowl to the vicinity.

The predominant cropland soil types are Alligator and Sharkey clay.
