The home's logs appear to be oak, poplar, and pine. The logs are all dovetail corners and are hand-hewn vintage from the late 1700s into the mid-1800s. The origins of the additional log homes are unknown at this time; however, it is typical for such a building to be disassembled and moved from the local area. The home features four beautiful stone fireplaces and two stone chimneys. Currently, fireplaces are used for burning propane gas.
