The soils are approximately 60% silt loams and 40% silty clay loams. These soils are well suited for raising corn, rice, and soybeans which are the crops rotated on the farm. Rice and soybeans have been the crop rotation for many years.

The are two 40,000-bushel GSI no buildings approximately 17 years old. There are four wells powered by diesel power units (retained by owner), four electric turbine wells, two submersible wells and a permanent relift pump and weir in the drainage ditch to irrigate two small fields.
