Double Bar B Ranch, originally established in 1985 to break and train harness horses, has maintained a lineage of training horses and breeding registered Black Angus Cattle. The property consists of 104 acres with approximately 69 acres utilized as timberland, while the remaining 35 are used as a working horse and cattle farm.
The working farm consists of two fenced pastures, one planted in Coastal Bermuda while the other is in Tift 9 Bahia. Included with the farm is a John Deere 5410 tractor with implements, cattle head chute, palpitation chute and sweep.
Both 10 Mile Creek and Wolfe Creek flow through the property providing great wildlife habitat and abundant diversity. Deer and Turkey are a common site on the property as they have great browse and cover between the 5-year-old natural regeneration and recently cleared timber. The areas of natural regen and recent harvest can either be converted to pasture or may be eligible for cost share programs to reforest.
Two homes are on the property, including a farmhouse that was moved to the property and smaller farmhouse constructed in 2001. The original farmhouse, ~1,992 square feet, was moved to the property from an adjacent farm many years ago. The first floor has two bedrooms, one bathroom, and still has the original hardwood floors. In 1995 the attic was renovated to be a second floor with two bedrooms and a bathroom.
The smaller farmhouse, 1,160 sq ft, serves as a private mother-in-law suite with one bedroom, one bathroom, living area and kitchen.
Double Bar B Ranch is an incredible and rare proffering in Pulaski County with robust opportunity for the next owner.
