Yvon moved from France to Vail in 1973 where he had a restaurant business, was a ski instructor and started working in real estate. In 2000, Yvon & his wife, Joanna, moved to the North Fork Valley, where they planted a vineyard and opened a winery at Leroux Creek Inn.
